What I do: conference interpreter (consecutive mode) at digital marketing event featuring international speakers (David Brownlee, customer service guru, and Layan Bubbly, social empowerment expert).
Conference interpreting is one of the “modes” interpreters have to perform their tasks. It takes place outside the booth (closed, soundproof windowed cabinets usually located at the back of the conference room) and the interpreter takes notes while listening to the speaker, after a while the interpreter proceeds with the translation.
What interpreters love about their job, apart from the job itself, is the chance we get to know incredibly skilled, talented and passionate speakers, who are able to transmit emotions. And, at times, they do ask you to do the same and to join them on stage, to share the same energy.
Digital marketing is a pivotal aspect of every business and for every entrepreneur. Industry 4.0 involves, at all levels, a great deal of awareness and of online presence, not to mention offline consistency.
